No Internet connection can appear anytime, while you are writing your homework, just before you want to download the latest episode of Game of Thrones, Chernobyl, or any other of your favorite shows, while playing a game with your friends, or even worse, while you are chatting via Facebook, Viber, Skype, etc. While “No internet access,” “No internet connection” or “Limited access” stands on your screen, and you wonder what to do next, read this article carefully, as we share the 6 proven way you can try from the comfort of your home, to fix the issue and regain internet access.

Ensure that cables are plugged in correctly

Although cats, dogs, and other pets don’t browse the net or chat online, they are big fans of it – of the cables that is, finding them to be a nice for teeth sharpening, or playing. Maybe you don’t have an Internet access, or your internet connection keeps dropping because of an unplugged or loosened Ethernet cable.

Also, the cable might be damaged. Even though you consume Internet Wi-Fi, remember that the Ethernet cable still pulls the plug – the one who can pull the Ethernet cable pulls the plug. Ensure that all cables (from modem to wall, from modem to router or computer, from router to computer, etc.) are properly plugged in and are not loose, and say bye to “computer will not connect to internet” and hello to fast Internet connection. Also, check the cables for physical damage. Protect the cables additionally, so that Lucky, or Ava won’t chew them again.

Restart the router

Even though the router is not a human, it can still fall asleep sometimes – give it some rest from time to time, it deserves it. It can stop sharing the net all of a sudden, or not to connect again after Internet issues. It’s your time to play a doctor now – check what the lights on the router say.

They reveal the status of the Internet connection, if your computer is recognized through Ethernet and more. If the lights aren’t on, or blink, or any other signal, which you can determine from the router’s instruction manual, and you can’t connect to the Internet, restarting the router would be the best course of action.

Turn it off, and turn it back on after a few minutes. Also, updating the firmware is a good solution which you should consider, unless you want downtime. The latest firmware may contain performance improvements and bug fixes your router needs. If restarting the router didn’t help, you may want to check if no internet connection is the real problem. Maybe your Internet connection is very slow, making you believe that you are not connected to the Internet. Scan for viruses

Access Safe Mode (Windows only), (re)install your antivirus and start scanning. Once the scan is completed and if viruses are found, click on the Delete button to remove them. Having an antivirus software doesn’t mean you are safe, so don’t rely just on that. You may have thousands, but still a virus can always find its way to your computer.

Believe it or not, you may not have Internet access because you let your Wi-Fi card go on summer vacation. On the majority of keyboards, there is a button, or a combination of buttons which will enable or disable the Wi-Fi card. If you cannot connect to the Internet and the router is working fine, it is possible that you have accidentally disabled the wireless card/adapter (Wi-Fi). Don’t worry, this can happen to the best of us, too. In order to be able to connect to the Internet, you will just need to turn on the Wi-Fi card again, and be more careful in future. The same may apply if your computer is connected to the Internet via an Ethernet cable. if you are thinking to buy PC then PC review site can make your work easy.
